Students who were not redlined more than three times will be going ice skating tomorrow.  Permission slips need to be turned in to their 8th hour teacher by 8:00 am tomorrow.

Reading: Students began study of the fantasy fiction genre. 

Writing: Students are writing "animal letters".  They must write a three paragraph letter for one of the following scenes: a cat to a dog, a mouse to a cat, a cow to a farmer, a worm to a bird, a deer to hunter, or a horse to a cowboy/cowgirl.  They started on the brainstorming and rough draft phase of the process today. It was not assigned for homework.

Spelling: homework is due tomorrow at the beginning of the hour.

Students continued work on their Cinderella Projects in class today.  Today and tomorrow are the last days that there will be time to work on this project in class.  After tomorrow, finishing the project becomes homework.  The project is due January 10th at the beginning of the hour. 

There will be no other language arts homework this week.
