Students continued to work on the two essay questions on pg. 294. Those who did not finish the essay will work on it for homework.
The class watched the fantasy movie, The Red Balloon. We will complete a variety of activities on Friday that go along with the movie.

I hope that everyone had a marvelous holiday season. I also hope that you all survived the big chill!!
Writing: Students listened to two "fractured"versions of Cinderella. Students were assigned a "Fractured Folk Tale" writing project. The final draft is due January 15th. Students worked on this assignment in class today, but there will be no more class time to complete the project.
Looking ahead- next week is mid-term week. 6th graders will have a mid-term in each of their core classes.
Wednesday- first hour exam
Thursday- second and third hour exam
Friday- sixth hour exam
Please note that Thursday and Friday are early dismissal days. Students will be dismissed at 1:45.
