English: Students began their study of adverbs.

Writing: Students are working on a descriptive essay.  There is a brainstorming sheet to gather their thoughts.  They will use the information to write their essay.
              HW: Write three-paragraph descriptive essay.  Due tomorrow.

Michigan's Adventure Point Program:
      Students received information about the point system for the Michigan's Adventure trip.  Parents should read over the information and return the parent signature page by April 11th.

Kettunen Center field trip:
    Students received information about the team building trip on April 17th.  Student should return the permission slip with $2.00.

English: Students began studying modifiers.  The first set of modifiers that we will investigate are adjectives.

Reading: We continued with our non-fiction genre study.  This week we are reading about the Titanic. Students read a short selection in class.
