Students will continue to use class time to work on their "Tollbooth" brochures.  The final copy is due on Monday.  There is no other homework.

Another short week so there is no spelling homework.

Students continued to work on the Tollbooth brochure project.  They will have the rest of this week's class time.  The final project is due Monday, February 25th at the beginning of the hour.

This Friday's fun activity is an "electronics" hour.  Students can bring electronic games, phones, I-pods, etc.  They can also bring a snack and a drink.

Writing/Reading: Continued to work on the Phantom Tollbooth brochure project.  Not assigned for homework.

English: worked with comparative adverbs

Reading/Writing: Students will be creating a travel brochure for the Land of Wisdom.  Today they examined brochures for various Michigan attractions and determined the important element of a travel brochure.  Much of this work will be done in class, with the final touches being added at home.  Brochure is due Friday, February 22nd.

No spelling homework this week.

English: Began our study of adverbs.  Homework is Adverb worksheet # 37.

Reading: Finishing up the Phantom Tollbooth.  Homework is Selection Test # 163.  All of the multiple choice questions and essay question #22.

If Mother Nature cooperates, the homework is due tomorrow.

Poetry project and the text questions on pg. 669 were due today.

Reading: Students are reading Act II of the Phantom Tollbooth. They are reading in small groups.

Writing: Students continued to work on their rhyming poem about a favorite place.  Final copy of the project is due Friday, February 8th.

Spelling: Homework this week deals with adjectives.  Homework is due Thursday at he beginning of the hour.
