Summer is almost over, and it is almost the "ofishal" first day of 6th grade.  I am looking forward to seeing all of you next Tuesday.  Please bring your working brain, your attention span,  something to write with, and your single subject spiral notebook.

Another year has come to a close.  Thanks to all of the parents who stayed informed and kept track of the students' assignments.  I appreciate all of your efforts!!  Hope you have a super summer!

English:  "Parts of Speech" review worksheet for homework
Reading: "Zlateh" questions are due tomorrow.  Students have had class time yesterday and today to work on them.

Language Arts final exam schedule:
                 1st hour exam is Friday
                 2nd and 3rd hour exams are Monday 

All missing assignments will become Es if not turned in by the day students take their exam.

Reading:   Comprehension questions for Zlateh the Goat, answered in complete sentences. This is not homework.  Students will have time in class tomorrow to work on them.

Exams:  Language arts exams will be Friday for 1st hour, and Monday for 2nd and 3rd hours.  There is no study guide.  The exam will cover the adventure story and students will be using Courage at Indian Deep, the book we have been reading in class.

MIchigan Adventure permission slips and $10 need to be returned to 8th hour teacher by Wednesday.  Students not going with the class on this trip need to report to school that day.

Students received their information about Michigan's Adventure.  The permission slip and $10 are due to your 8th hour teacher by Wednesday, June 6th.  Students who do not have enough points to go on the trip ARE EXPECTED TO BE AT SCHOOL that day!!  This will be an opportunity for them to do extra credit, complete missing assignments, and improve their grades in their core classes.

There is not a homework assignment for the weekend.

RESEARCH REPORT IS DUE ON THURSDAY!!

Reading: Students have begun the last genre study for this school year- Adventure.  They started to read the novel,   Courage At Indian Deep.  This book will be read in class and there will be a final activity that students will complete. 
    Homework: Read "Zlateh the Goat" and complete the Open Book Test, #s 1-11.
