Writing: Students continued to work on their poetry project.  The final copy is due on Tuesday, February 21st. 

Favorite Place PoetryProject1^st,  

Students will create a rhyming poem about a favorite place.

Please follow the directions carefully!
Brainstorming: Complete the sensory information sheet.  Be very specific about the details of your favorite place.	Adjectives: Using the list of adjectives in your writing folder, brainstorm some special adjectives that describe your favorite place.
Rough Draft Write a rough draft of your poem. Edit, revise, and proofread the rough draft before moving on to the final copy.  These editing changes should be shown on the rough draft.	Student Poem At least 16 lines and four verses. (16pts.) Creative ideas (15 pts.) Shows time, effort, and thought Proofreading shown (10 pts.) Spelling, punctuation, capitals In ink or typed (5 pts.) Turned in on time (4 points)
